Identify as A Creative?

Do you identify as A Creative?

Have you found yourself being un-inspired?

Do you like/enjoy your current job or position?

As a creative person, I have struggled find the “right fit” for me.  There are so many people out here that don’t embrace a creative person; a person in the arts, a person who thinks outside of society’s norm.

As I have stated in a previous post, I have had many jobs and have not been fulfilled.  Everyone wants you to be a lawyer, a doctor or a scientist. “Jus get a real job!” If you are truly passionate about something and that pressure of people telling you what you’re interested in, is not enough or won’t pay the bills, can get you a little down and uninspired.

I want to encourage you today! Your pressure should not come from outside sources.  If you feel pressured, it should come from within! You should determine the route you will take and why you will take it.

So, lets get started!

*If you are in a current job or position where you are not being fulfilled:

-Work hard anyway! Your reputation is so important.  You want to be known as a hard worker and one who does their work well.

-Learn everything you can about the business where you are. This business is at some level of success. Learn how the company functions. Get inspired by one or two ways that you could use tips to eventually get where you want to be, especially if it is to one day have your own business.

-Remember that this is not your “forever” job! Stay encouraged by knowing that you know where you ultimately want to be. Focus on that!

*If you are currently un-inspired (with your creative endeavors).

-Take time to remember why you became passionate initially.

-As A Creative, what we do is real work, so it won’t always be fun -push through.

-Do more research.  Equip yourself with as much information as possible.  Learn from others that are doing similar things.  Freshen up or put a spin on your craft.

“Remember, you are responsible for your own happiness.  Take ownership of your dreams and purposefully live them out!” -Christina R
